Carl Olton, Jr. CEO<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Born in Los Angeles County Carl Olton, Jr. has been a part of South Central Los Angeles culture his entire life. With a mother from Los Angeles and a father from Kingston, Jamaica, Carl quickly discovered social, political, and economic disadvantages in melanated communities. He has since then dedicated his career and life to creating access for cultural representation in schools across the state of California. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carl Olton, Jr. is a political scientist with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Master’s degree in Urban and Public Affairs. He has more than 7 years of experience in program management. And has 10 years of experience in social research. Carl works with organizations and school districts to present reparatory projects for specifically disadvantaged communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jonathan Mosley, Human Resources Director <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jonathan Mosley, originally from Portland, Oregon, moved to Southern California with his family as a teenager after receiving a scholarship to play for the Army & Navy Academy Basketball team.  Jonathan\u2019s  passion is to see young adults become successful academically.  He is keenly aware of mental wellness as he struggled personally with school early on.  Jonathan decided to get involved with the community and associate himself with the Special Olympics as he became a head coach in various sports working with all ages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jonathan graduated from California State University San Marcos with a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Human Resources and Development.  During his collegiate years he ran Track and Field and play Intramural Basketball.  Jonathan has a SHRM and Ethics of Business Certification.  He previously worked 6 years as an Administrative Recruiter to employ nurses with hospitals.  He played a crucial role in the United States during the pandemic as he worked  up to 60 hours a week to supply hospitals with essential workers. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Kassi Talbot, Lecturer<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kassandra (Kassi) Talbot (she\/her\/hers) EdD is a doctor of Educational Leadership. Her dissertation title is: \u201cReclaiming the Story: Youth Participatory Action Research in the Rural Social Studies Classroom\u201d.<\/em> She has been a classroom co-learner for the past nine years. She facilitates middle school social studies and high school Spanish. Kassi holds an M.A. in Education, Equity and Social Justice with a concentration in antiracist teaching and transformative practices in the rural context. Her ultimate goals include capitalizing on the opportunity her local context offers:using her position in the community to transform its current school system into one that serves all students equitably.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
